Create a Potty Schedule

House training puppies does not have to be difficult. Usually most dogs typically eliminates during the same time frame each and every day. When they first wake up, 15-20mins after each meal or drink of water, after playing or walking, and just before going to bed. Take note when your puppy eliminates so you can take him to for potty breaks at the right time.

Leash Training

Leash training is very important and should be used right away. When taking your puppy outside for him to eliminate, it is best to use a short leash to prevent him from being easily distracted or eating of the floor. Sometimes you may have to look away while your puppy handles his business, because some puppies are shy and do not like to be looked at.

Crate Training

Crate training has become very popular. It's actually considered on the best forms of training. Crate training is when you keep your puppy confined in a small area and only take him out when it is time to go potty. Keep your puppy in his crate for 2-3 hours only on the days you are house training him.

After every 2-3 hours take your puppy out immediately to eliminate. If your puppy does not relieve himself, put him back in the crate and repeat the same process within 15 minutes. House training puppies can be relatively easy once you know what you are doing.
